We are a collaborative group of volunteer design professionals and students dedicated to the pursuit of advocacy and social change through the built environment in and beyond Chicago. Our mission is to work with communities to create sustainable, innovative, and socially responsive design.

OACChicago addresses issues of social justice, racial equity, shared resources, and equitable neighborhood development. We work with communities to shift narratives and create pluralistic futures, cocreating with practitioners from the arenas of arts and culture, architecture, planners, social impact design, community activism, and systems change to shape processes and plans and create spaces for inclusive, diverse stakeholders.
