The third edition of the Chicago Architecture Biennial …and other such storieswas curated by Artistic Director Yesomi Umolu and curators Sepake Angiama and Paulo Tavares.

…and other such stories encouraged participants and visitors to engage with architecture as a lens to examine pressing global issues, including land ownership, memory, rights, and civic participation, and was structured around four curatorial sub-themes: “No Land Beyond” explored landscapes of belonging and sovereignty, challenging conventional notions of land as property. “Appearances and Erasures” addressed the visibility and invisibility of narratives within the built environment. “Rights and Reclamations” investigated spatial practices related to human rights and the reclamation of space. “Common Ground” focused on shared spaces and the collective shaping of the urban environment.
