SHIFT
About the program
‘SHIFT’ is the online show of Italian-German visual and sound artist Friedrich Andreoni – presented in collaboration with SAIC faculty members Jeff Prokash and Danny Floyd. The online show will feature all the three acts of SHIFT, a space related performative act in which Andreoni taped his phone to different automated machines in the city, intervening in normality and investigating the expressive potential of public infrastructures. The digital show presents also three texts and critical contributions by Dr. Michael J. Golec, Dr. Hennie Reynders and Danny Floyd. SHIFT has been realized in collaboration with: Experimental Sound Studio Chicago, The Department of Transportation City of Chicago and The Chicago Port Authority, in Downtown Chicago and Skokie during 2020 and 2021.
