About the program
October 18-19, the Chicago Architecture Center (CAC) hosts Open House Chicago (OHC)—a free, public festival that instills civic pride by providing access to sites of architectural, historical, and cultural significance, and by highlighting businesses, organizations, and creative leaders making a positive impact in Chicago’s diverse neighborhoods.
OHC remains one of the largest events of its kind in the world. The festival is part of Open House Worldwide, a network of nearly sixty organizations that host festivals and conversations about architecture, design, and cities across the globe.
Chicago Architecture Biennial’s SHIFT sites—the Chicago Cultural Center, Graham Foundation, and Stony Island Arts Bank—are participating in Open House Chicago with open hours and special activations.
