About the program
With the winter holidays underway, we’re excited to display our first-ever Holiday Lights sidewalk exhibition at 1520 W Division Street in Chicago! From now through the end of December, four windows of our garden-level gallery space will be lit up each evening, featuring handmade diorama scenes of nine Studio Gang architecture projects – our own take on department store holiday windows.
We originally made and exhibited the dioramas in Paris this fall for Dimensions de la découverte (Dimensions of Discovery), a solo show at Galerie Archilib that explored our approach to designing unconventional learning environments. Housed in repurposed wine crates, the dioramas proved to be the stars of the show, and we’re so happy to share them again with the public, this time in our hometown of Chicago.
If you find yourself in Wicker Park this month, we hope you can make it to the corner of Division and Bosworth to take in the warm glow of architecture in miniature.
