Project Overview
SOS Children’s Village
SOS Children’s Village responds to the community’s nomadic traditions and the region’s extreme climate by drawing on traditional housing suited to similar conditions. The project creates a medina for children—a safe, car-free environment where narrow streets and squares become play areas, public and private spaces are clearly defined, and residents are encouraged to care for plants that will one day provide shade and cooling.
