R&R STUDIOS, led by architects and visual artists Roberto Behar and Rosario Marquardt, is a Miami-based multidisciplinary platform merging art, architecture, design, and public space. Born in Argentina, the duo explores the poetic and political possibilities of the built environment, often creating large-scale social sculptures that blur the boundaries between art and life. Their most recognized works include The Living Room in Miami, Building Blocks in Seattle, and Copenhagen Square in Copenhagen. They recently unveiled three new public artworks for Princeton University, documented in The Home We Share (Park Books, 2024). Behar and Marquardt studied at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario and the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies, and have taught at institutions such as Harvard and Cornell. Behar is currently professor at the University of Miami.

Project Overview

Beauty For All

Beauty for All is a large-scale model of a fantastical urban billboard—both a message of hope and a call to action. It reimagines the city as a shared, creative space built with meaning, emotion, and joy.

Drawing from the rich history of American signage, the piece transforms a symbol of consumerism into a public artwork. It suggests a new kind of city—one shaped by collective imagination rather than private interests. It invites visitors to dream of cities where beauty, pleasure, and connection are not luxuries, but essentials.
