Hilb’s Day: A Celebration Of Light and Movement

at Illinois Institute of Technology, Galvin Tower

10 W. 35th St, Chicago, IL 60616

Hilb’s Day is a longstanding Illinois Tech tradition to celebrate the shortest day of the year. Ludwig K. Hilberseimer (1885-1967) was German architect and urban planner best known for his ties to the Bauhaus and Mies van der Rohe. Join the Mies van der Rohe Society for a celebration of Hilb’s Day with a gallery talk by artists, Luftwerk, and a dance performance by Hedwig Dances.

Presented by the Mies van der Rohe Society of Illinois Institute of Technology. Partners include the College of Architecture and the Chicago Architecture Biennale. Special thanks to Luftwerk, Hedwig Dances and Diptyque (Bucktown, Chicago), Knoll Textiles, and Maharam Fabrics.
