BairBalliet is a design venture focused on architecture through speculative and built projects. The duo choreographs the conceptual, experiential, and technical aspects of architecture via buildings, spaces, models, drawings, films, and images. Their work has exhibited internationally at the Venice Architecture Biennale, Frac Centre, and Centre de design de l’UQAM, as well as across the U.S. at MoMA, The Architecture & Design Museum, SCI-Arc Gallery, among others. In 2018, they were finalists for the MoMA PS1 Young Architects Program. Their work has been published in Architect’s Newspaper, Log Journal, Art Papers, and others. Bair and Balliet co-founded Possible Mediums with Adam Fure and Kyle Miller, designers and educators exploring new approaches to architecture education and production. Bair is associate director of Graduate Studies and associate professor at the University of Illinois Chicago’s School of Architecture; Balliet is Undergraduate Programs Chair and Design Faculty at SCI-Arc.
