Free, open to the public
Watershed Weekend has been generously supported by Heritage Fund—The Community Foundation of Bartholomew County through a grant received from Lilly Endowment Inc.
This 2020–21 cycle of Exhibit Columbus explores the future of the center of the United States and the regions connected by the Mississippi watershed to speculate on the heartland, an ecology stretching beyond political borders—from North to South—from the Canadian Border to the Gulf, and from East to West—from Appalachia to the plains.
Watershed Weekend is a series of public events with 2020–21 Photography Fellows, University Design Research Fellow Derek Hoeferlin, and special guests from the Chicago Architecture Biennial David Brown and The Bittertang Farm, which will explore how people from across this broad ecological and cultural geography might be empowered to collectively question past methods of control and power.
