Soil Lab Opening Celebration

Come experience the work in progress. Through a series of workshops and in collaboration with skilled craftsmen the buildup of the structure is ongoing.

Join for an afternoon gathering of music, food, rammed earth demonstrations, and opening remarks at 1pm with Soil Lab. 

Program:

12pm Arrival and welcome

12:30-2pm Food and beverages

1-1:30pm Speeches and official opening

2-4pm Guided tours of Soil Lab with local community members

2-3pm Music

About Soil Lab:

The Soil Lab project is located on a city-owned vacant lot on South Pulaski Road near 13th Street. The site was identified by CAB Artistic Director David Brown for an open call hosted with the Danish Arts Foundation in 2020. Soil Lab is built on the remaining foundation of a former building and sits amongst six other vacant lots.
