Mark Alcazar Diaz: Drift

‘Drift’ is a moving image work set at Montrose Beach Bird Sanctuary, a constructed parkland space populated by indigenous flora and migratory/nesting birds. The work is shared at Berger Park Cultural Center, a community-initiated addition to the Chicago Park District. Mark Alcazar Diaz, born in Manila, is an artist, educator, and arts administrator. He works in a variety of media, including video, drawing, and object making, to examine issues around migration, memory of place, and nature culture.

This program will take place on September 25th and October 16 at Berger Park Cultural Center, 6205 N. Sheridan Rd. Chicago, IL 60660.
